Ploughman’s Lunch

Ingredients:

♣  Crusty bread, thick slices or 2 large crusty bread rolls or 1/2 baguette, my favourite Irish Soda Bread

♣  Butter patties

♣  Cheddar cheese, or mature farmhouse cheddar cheese or Stilton cheese or Wensleydale cheese or Cheshire cheese or Lancashire cheese or double Gloucester cheese or red Leicester cheese (your choice)

♣  Hayward’s English pickled onions * * *

♣  Branston pickle, chutney, Daddies sauce * * *

♣  Baby tomatoes

♣  Hard boiled egg (quartered) or pickled egg

♣  Shredded ham or other sliced meat

♣  Sliced roast beef

♣  Baxter’s baby beetroot or sliced beets * * *

♣  Small side salad

♣  English cucumber (thin sliced)

♣  Coleman’s English mustard * * *

Additional:

♣  Walker’s Crisps * * *

♣  Fruit, apple quartered

♣  Baby carrots

♣  Melton Mowbray pork pie (quartered) * * *

♣  Heinz, HP or M & S baked beans * * *

♣  You can also add sliced Old Country Cottage sausages or Chipolata sausages * * *

♣  And a Scotch egg or two
